CORE EVENT: RESPONSIBLE INVESTING WITH MICHELLE DUNSTAN |
The Earth Institute at Columbia University was created in 1995 to advance the basic understanding of earth science and apply that knowledge to decisions made by governments and businesses globally. In 2019, AllianceBernstein started a partnership with Columbia to develop a climate change curriculum for investors; and in 2021, a second research-focused phase of collaboration was announced as the founding member of the new Columbia Climate School. Michelle Dunstan will highlight her origin story, this first of its kind relationship between investment managers and scientists, and her vision for the future. You’ll learn why this marks a new paradigm for financial services and why it’s beneficial for both you and your family.

Michelle Dunstan, Chief Responsibility Officer, AllianceBernstein
AllianceBernstein Partners with Columbia Climate School
“The school is the first purpose-built establishment of its kind in the world focused exclusively on tackling climate change and its related challenges...For Columbia, the inclusion of a commercial enterprise in the development of the landmark Columbia Climate School signals a recognition that the size, scope, and challenge presented by climate change warrants a new approach in academia that proactively leverages the role of businesses and capital markets in solving for, and impacting, these issues.”
